Grade Achieved: A

This class was a chance for us to really use our creativity and back it up with the theory we have learned.  I was confident about this class having set up Pawsitivity Team outside of uni and getting to know so many people and hearing about their experiences of setting up companies but at the same time I wanted to challenge myself and create something completely different. 

Our group created and developed the business idea for LITTLE UWS, a nursery that would be on our university campus for students who were parents.  

Our university used to have a nursery on campus but it was closed due to lack of use.  We were aiming to find a way that would make it both cheaper to run and rewarding to use so that such a vital service could actually be viable to offer.  We became quite passionate about the idea and really threw ourselves into the research.

I am really pleased that we received such a good grade for our idea, our business pitch and our business plan as we put a lot of work into the concept and design.

I really challenged myself with this one by taking on the financial aspect of the project.  Numbers and maths were never my strong point but, having achieved an A in 2nd year for the Accounting and Finance module, Iwas determined to put my knowledge to use and develop my skills and confidence in this area.  I am so pleased it went so well as I spent a huge amount of my time on this project.
